Out of Love for Others
While there may not be an immediate threat to you, out of love for those who are at higher risk and out of love for our community, we at Abiding Love want to do all that we can to slow the spread of the virus when it arrives in our community. Now is the time to be prepared since we do not know when it will arrive.
HEALTH REMINDERS
Guidance from health agencies continues to follow standard best practices to mitigate the spread of colds, flu, and other contagious viruses. As Philippians 2:4 reminds us, we are called to “not only look out for our own interests but the interests of others.” These best practices and recommendations are a great way to follow Jesus and care for our neighbors:
Check CDC, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (https://www.colorado.gov/cdphe), and Larimer County Health & Environment (https://www.larimer.org/health) for the latest guidance.
Stay home when you are sick. We recommend that members, staff, and guests must be fever-free, without the use of fever-reducing medication, for 24 hours before returning to the Church.
Wash your hands frequently for 10–20 seconds. Encourage others to do the same.
Avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and then throw it away. Cough into your bent elbow only if you don't have a tissue.
When greeting friends use a wave or an elbow bump instead of a handshake.
If by chance you have a confirmed case of COVID-19, please contact us immediately.
***We will not pass the plate to collect an offering. Please give online or drop your gift off in the
offering box on the entryway table.***
Closing Prayer
Father in heaven, place your hand of protection over our world as we experience the effects of COVID-19. Protect those whom we love who are at risk from this disease. Grant healing to those who are already infected. Give wisdom and strength to all in our health care system who will be treating those infected. Give us patience as we deal with the efforts to slow the virus' advance. Provide for our daily needs as our nation and our world experience financial convulsions as a result of this disease. If it be your will, miraculously bring this disease to a halt. Most of all, Father, we pray that your name might be glorified as we show love and care for those around us. All this we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
Your brother in prayer,
Pastor Kevin
